SilencerScout Sound Test
Inconel, 3d printed, reduced backpressure, this can does it all with an MSRP of $695. There are cans that outperform this one on sound and backpressure but you will be hard pressed to find one that beats this on performance per dollar.

This is a mid sized can that is trying to do everything well. It does not try to stand out as the quietest, smallest, or most adaptable. It just tries to be average on everything but price. We think this is ideal for someone trying to suppress a semi-auto 5.56/.223.
Inconel means all but the crazy and insane need to consider fire rate limitations.
The Hybrid backpressure design means this can be fitted to most semi-auto firearms with no tuning.

If you want a suppressor with a proven track record, thousands of user reviews, and tuning tips for every configuration under the sun, the Polonium series from Otter Creek Labs fits the bill. This full stainless steel series will outlive all but the most abusive firing schedules, and it's been put through the complete suite of sound testing by Pew Science, so you'll know exactly what acoustic performance to expect.
Simple tuning measures like adding a heavier buffer or an adjustable gas block deliver top-tier sound performance and flash mitigation at a price that's hard to beat. This pick is ideal for the shooter who's willing to do a little tinkering with their semi-auto to get outstanding results.
For most people, especially those with barrel lengths over 14.5" we would recommend going with the shorter 556k. It will reduce the weight a little, the backpressure a little, and of course shorten the overall package at the cost of a little sound performance. In our experience users prefer these tradeoffs on a tuned host. That said, if you know you will be shooting from a bench most of the time or are using a short barreled host, the full size could be worth the extra weight.

We see this as a strong competitor to our #2 pick, the polonium. This does many of the same things, with a comparable weight and length to the Polo k. While we don't have hard numbers on this, many users are reporting getting slightly better sound performance and backpressure than the polonium.

This can has great backpressure characteristics for a welded baffle stack, but tuning of the host is still recommended for semi-auto platforms. We think this is an ideal can for those who liked the idea of a polonium K and want to spend a few extra bucks to mitigate some gas.

SilencerScout Sound Test
An affordable can with a QD device from a name brand with a long history making value oriented options. While this wont be the best performer on sound and backpressure, it does include a complete mount and muzzle device for less money than most on this list.

If your top priority is sound performance, back-pressure reduction, or minimizing size and weight, there are better options on this list. But none of them include a muzzle device and QD adapter free, out of the box. That's a significant value proposition for anyone who already wanted a QD system with a locking mechanism for quick, secure mounting.
That said, YHM's Phantom mounting system won't suit every user. Achieving the secondary retention of the ratcheting collar required substantial mass: the adapter alone weighs 2.84 oz, and the muzzle brake comes in just under 4 oz. Together, that nearly matches the weight of the suppressor itself and adds over an inch to the overall length.
